One Another Printworks create hand printed items onto paper and cotton, focussing on typography and lettering. All of our artwork has been hand printed in England using water based inks.
One Another Printworks was born in Manchester as a creative outlet for the artist Alex Hoggarth, who is constantly inspired by the city's rich history in printmaking and cotton. We like to use the words 'Effort and Wisdom' in our work, which is an anglicized and reversed version of the city's latin motto; 'Concilio et Labore'.
In 1907, Samuel Simon of Manchester, England was awarded a patent for the process of using silk fabric as a printing screen. Following in Simon's footsteps our ongoing aim is to create limited edition works of art using silk screen printing that you can choose to wear or hang on the wall.
Like all of humanity, every design has a different story and due to the printing process there is never one exactly the same as another.
